Attorney Profiles

Ms. Susan Dowden was born in Shreveport, Louisiana. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Louisiana State University, Shreveport in 1977. Ms. Dowden attended the Paul M. Hebert (LSU) Law Center where she was a member of Phi Delta Phi. She received her Juris Doctorate degree in 1979 and was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar that same year.

In 1980 Ms. Dowden was admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana. Ms. Dowden was admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit in 1983. She is currently a member of the Baton Rouge and Louisiana State Bar Associations. Her civil practice focuses on family law, successions, wills, and appellate advocacy.
